For people who love the look of grass but don’t want to tend to a lawn, mat rush is the perfect compromise. This tough plant is drought tolerant, so it’s a good fit for people who live in arid climates.

As well as locking in moisture, a mulch also blocks the light, meaning that weeds won't come to the surface – we have a handy ultimate guide to mulching if you want to know more. Once they're established, shrubs will usually only need watering in the very driest of summers, if at all. Other than that, an occasional light pruning will be all that's required.

18 Native Plants to Grow in Xeriscape Gardens (By Region)

It also helps to soften the look of a contemporary design, with its contrast of rough and smooth textures. More outdoor space means more chances to entertain in warm weather — and less work for you. "Creating outdoor living spaces lends itself to low-maintenance landscaping because you can extend your home while having fewer grassy areas to care for," says Peyton. The couple has a stone patio with a grilling area, dining table, and separate fire pit area in their home. Place shade lovers in areas of the yard that receive little direct sun to reduce plant stress, foliage burn, and an increased need for watering.

For a low-maintenance outdoor cooking space, invest in appliances that last. "If you want something that's going to stand the test of time, go with a built-in barbecue area with stone veneer on the front," says Peyton. A sturdy granite countertop is also a long-lasting feature, and it's ideal for withstanding varying weather conditions. Collecting water with rain barrels is an extremely easy (and environmentally-friendly) way to water your plants.

Encourage natural pest control from predators.

Another factor to consider when choosing perennials is how much winter cold your yard usually experiences. The USDA hardiness zone map is a helpful tool in this regard because perennials rated for warmer climates may not tolerate the winter temperatures where you live. Additionally, look at 4 key options below that have an eco-conscious approach to low maintenance gardening.

LOW-MAINTENANCE GARDEN DESIGN

Xeriscaping is a practice in landscape design that aims to create spaces that limit or eliminate the need for irrigation completely. Plants that are drought-tolerant are always a good choice in xeriscaping. Keep in mind that, if you’re xeriscaping, you need to account for natural water resources and include hardscaping designs that can promote water movement to certain areas of the yard. Native plants have developed a symbiotic relationship with the wildlife in a specific environment for thousands of years.

Consider mat-forming creeping perennials like New Zealand brass buttons (Leptinella squalida), Scotch or Irish moss (Sagina subulata), or low-growing clover. That’s the best argument for hardscaping—that’s the use of pavers, brick, or decorative stone. Whether you opt for a patio or lay garden paths, you’ll have a durable surface that never needs weeding or watering, although you might want to sweep it occasionally. Options abound, from neat grids to a patchwork effect—great low-maintenance front yard landscaping is just a stone’s throw away.

"It helps the water go straight to the plants that need it rather than feeding the weeds." If you use stone in landscaping beds, consider how much wind your region gets and how the stone will match the aesthetic of your home. "Pea stone comes in different sizes, so you can get a three-quarter inch stone if you're worried about wind," says Chris. "Crushed stone also comes in a variety of colors, so you can change it depending on your style, house color, or area of the country." "A lot of people use crushed stones in beds because it's a really good xeriscaping technique," says Chris.

Stacked stone and block walls outlast the best timber walls by a wide margin. A professional consultation with one of Forevergreen Landscaping's design experts is your first step to the landscape of your dreams. It’s impossible to discuss low-maintenance home tips without mentioning material, so we’ll share additional material tips in later entries below. However, it’s important to note that durability and material recommendations can vary depending on many factors, including climate, how you’re using a room and more. In this situation, a professional contractor can help advise you so you can get advice tailored to your home.

Many good candidates are ground covers like creeping Jenny, but some edible plants, such as strawberries and mints, also send out runners and reroot. If you have an irrigation system, set up the timer based on what’s appropriate for the season. And if you don’t have underground sprinklers, you can still automate the process by purchasing a timer that attaches to your hose bib. Perennials are the gift that keeps on giving, season after season, unlike annuals, which you have to plant every year. Forgetful gardeners will love the drought-tolerant pasqueflower or the delicate-looking but durable penstemon.

Make a statement with exotic flowers like these vibrant orangey-red clivia plants. If you have mobility issues, you may think any backyard garden will be too high-maintenance for you. Raised garden beds can help improve accessibility because they require less bending and stooping. While you can grow just about anything in a raised bed, they make vegetable gardening especially easy. If you’re looking for a low-impact way to freshen up a dated home, try varying your vegetation. Mixing and matching multiple types of plants and garden filler is a low-impact way to give your front yard a makeover.

The wooden bench seating frames a fire pit, so it can be utilized year-round. If the area around your house is heavily shaded, it’s important to pick plants that will thrive in those conditions. This garden is overflowing with shade-loving tropical foliage like purple cordyline, hostas, and elephant ears. The tropical shade plants here are artfully arranged, but they could also be used to create a lush backyard jungle. Browse some of the most popular low-maintenance landscaping ideas to inspire your space. In this Cimino-designed yard, the lawn is completely eliminated in favor of mulch.

Landscape chores, including trimming, weeding, and watering, can consume hours, but they don’t have to. These time-saving practices and techniques can reduce your chore list and free up time for you to finally sit in the seating area you designed for your patio. Many of the 11 tips included here take only a few minutes to do, but when they are done well, they prevent hours of work later in the season. Design your garden to mimic natural ecosystems, with a diverse mix of plants that support each other's growth and minimize the need for fertilizer and pesticides.

'These low-maintenance plants can make your yard look magical while benefiting your local ecosystem,' she adds – they're great plants for attracting pollinators. Choose a design that complements the colors and materials across the rest of the space. This simple water bowl is perfect for a contemporary yard – and we love how the fern-shaped fountain detail echoes the container planting nearby.

MARGARITAVILLE AT SEA ADDS SECOND SHIP WITH EXPANDED CARIBBEAN ITINERARIES

margaritaville cruise ship pictures

It was so hard to get a seat here that people resorted to carrying food all over the ship, leaving dirty dishes in lounges far away from the restaurant. If I were to bring my son aboard Margaritaville At Sea Paradise this would probably be the way we’d do it. The kids’ activities are enough to keep young kids happy for a night, but two nights in a row might be rough. By adding a few nights at an all-inclusive resort, it would be more entertaining for kids and more relaxing for parents.

Margaritaville at Sea Islander Will Feature More Family-Friendly Venues

Margaritaville at Sea Islander's inaugural voyage will take place on June 14, 2024. The sailing will consist of a four-night itinerary from Tampa featuring a stop in Cozumel and two sea days. Margaritaville at Sea Islander’s first available sailing will be June 14, 2024 on a 4-night itinerary from Port Tampa Bay, Florida featuring a stop in Cozumel, Mexico and two sea days. Margaritaville at Sea Islander will be the second ship in Margaritaville’s fleet. The first, Paradise, sails two night cruises to The Bahamas from the Port of Palm Beach.

Margaritaville at Sea Islander Itineraries Feature Four- and Five-night Voyages to Key West and Mexico

The spa is relatively small, but still offers quite a few ways to relax and pamper yourself. Margaritaville finally has a cruise line, well at least a cruise ship. As a Parrothead, I have been so excited about this development since it was announced. The cruise line’s first cruise ship is the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise, and it just set sail for the very first time.

His 1977 hit song “Margaritaville” catapulted his career, and now there is a brand that extends to multiple facets of life that will keep his legacy going for decades. There will be no shortages of places to eat and drink on Margaritaville at Sea. A standout all-new venue is the three-story Landshark Bar which will take center stage on the pool deck. It will have two decks of shaded and seated bar areas topped by The Lookout, a terrace with 360-degree outdoor views. The 2,650-passenger ship was first launched in 2000 as Costa Cruises' Costa Atlantica, and is undergoing extensive refurbishment at the Harland & Wolff Shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland, ahead of its inaugural sailing in June 2024. Between the first three-story Landshark Bar, the thoughtfully eclectic Hemisphere Dancer Craft Spirits, the adult-only Tiki Bar or any of the other 13 bars and lounges available, you'll never go thirsty abord the Islander.

That being said, on a cruise this short, where you're in port for one of the two days, you're not spending much time in your room anyway. Part of the Jimmy Buffett/Margaritaville vibe is that anything goes, as long as you remain laid back. As a Buffett fan, I would have preferred a more immersive experience.

Margaritaville at Sea Islander will cater more extensively to families. The main venue for little cruisers will be the Caribbean Amphibian Splash and Slide pool. Located on the top deck, the area will feature an elevated play space, water slide and splash-and-spray zone designed like a lily pad.

An extensive rum menu and craft beers will be served in the Havana Daydreamin' Sports Bar and Lounge, while the Far Side of the World arcade and lounge will serve bubbly boba teas by day and sake-infused cocktails by night. The Margaritaville at Sea Islander spans 12 passenger decks accommodating 2,650 adventure-seeking passengers and was originally built for Costa Cruises. The Margaritaville at Sea Paradise will debut as the only three-day, two-night cruise sailing round-trip from Palm Beach to Freeport in The Bahamas.

Our cruise offers are an irresistible opportunity to get a great deal on your next Caribbean escape. While closed-loop cruises, where you embark and disembark in the U.S., allow you to sail with a birth certificate instead of a passport, we recommend the latter. A lot of people on this cruise only had birth certificates, and so were subject to longer lines at the terminal, both coming and going. If you book a package through the ship, transfers from the port in Freeport to the resort and back again are included in your fare. If you choose this option, note that you'll have to have a passport, and not just a birth certificate.

The ship is 85,619 gross tons and carries 2,650 passengers at full capacity with 920 crew members. With 12 specialty and included dining options, sampling your way around the Margaritaville at Sea Islander is a delicious escape from the ordinary. For additional news, updates on the vessel’s progress, and exclusive access to preview incentives on the Margaritaville at Sea Islander, visit and book now at MargaritavilleAtSea.com. “To me, the only thing better than being on a beach by the ocean, is to be on the ocean. Now you can follow in our wake,” said singer, songwriter and best-selling author, Jimmy Buffett.

We also found odd areas of dead space, particularly the Hangout on Deck 14, which seemed like a sports bar with no bartenders or guests. JWB Prime Steakhouse is the fine dining establishment aboard the Margaritaville cruise ship. This concept also exists at a handful of the luxury resorts from Margaritaville around the country and in the Caribbean. Over recent years, the resorts and other vacation experiences served as the company’s focus.

New dining venues are the Far Side of the World Asian fusion sushi bar and Mexican Cutie Cantina, where passengers can customize their own tacos and breakfast burritos. Island Eats is a seafood shack inside the adult-only Tiki Bar -- also a new concept -- overlooking the back of the ship. Also located in the Tiki Bar is the tropical-inspired Tiki Grill with dishes such as fire-grilled fillet skewers and pina colada creme brulee. Located on the upper floor of Fins Dining Room is the new Islander Dining Room serving chef-crafted seasonal specialties in addition to the main restaurant menu. Other on-ship highlights include various dining venues, like the upscale JWB Prime Steakhouse, as well as pools, entertainment programming, retail stores, a St. Somewhere Spa, and even a Fins Up! Fitness Center, should you need to sweat out that cheeseburger in paradise.

Margaritaville at Sea is your new off-shore resort experience, sailing from Palm Beach and Tampa to Grand Bahama Island, Mexico and Key West. On this floating island vacation, you can unwind, enjoy the endless activities and entertainment, or just relax and soak up the sun. There are just two types of cabins aboard Margaritaville At Sea Paradise. There are Inside cabins and Oceanview cabins, which have a porthole window. It is interesting to note that the inside cabins have a bigger capacity than the ocean view cabins, so families have to book an Inside cabin or a suite. In addition to the standard inside and ocean view cabins, there are a handful of terrace suites.

Complete Guide to the New Carnival Jubilee Cruise Ship

In the camp inspired-space, kids play games, participate in sing-alongs, have dance parties, do arts and crafts, play video games, and more. Parents don’t even have to worry about picking their kids up at mealtime if their littles want to stay — meals are served to kids through Camp Ocean as well. Those looking for a fun workout in a group setting can partake in fitness classes such as yoga, pilates, indoor cycling, and boot camp. Additionally, the Cloud 9 Spa offers a variety of treatments such as facials, massages, and body wraps.

Carnival Jubilee shows

It was a bit too dry for me, so I didn't care for the taste, but you won't want to miss the presentation. After the show, "guests" (passengers) are encouraged to attend the "reception" (a dance party with the ship's DJ) in the ship's Limelight Lounge. Also scheduled are events that will allow you to make your own fish, which can be seen swimming by on the screens.

A FUN Sea Day

The Shores Zone (midship-aft on deck 8) is themed on seaside scenery (piers and beaches) and features a 3-deck-high (decks 6-7-8) fish art installation. Carnival Jubilee's main dining rooms feature select items from the onboard steakhouse, available for an additional fee. Traditionally, shipboard dining includes a complimentary Lido Buffet Restaurant. A special venue is the New England-inspired casual eatery Seafood Shack. It offers both indoor and outdoor seating and the menu includes steamed lobster, lobster rolls, fried shrimp, fried clams, crab cakes, and other seafood surprises. Seafood Shack serves lunch and dinner and is priced a la carte starting at $4.

The ocean theme

Those that aren’t have a reasonable fee, rather than the exorbitant fees we’ve seen pop up lately on some cruise ships. Carnival Jubilee balcony rooms are available in multiple categories from Deck 5 on up. Even Standard Balcony Staterooms have relatively spacious verandas. We stayed in a balcony cabin on our voyage and used our balcony a lot, thanks to a little extra space and a nice-sized table – relative rarities on some cruise ships. Carnival Jubilee rooms to avoid include those on Deck 5, directly below the Jubilee Theater or Grand Central, as noise could be a bit of an issue.

Complete Guide to the New Carnival Jubilee Cruise Ship

Since your huge Suite on Carnival Jubilee™ affords you VIP status, you're in the priority line when getting on and off the ship… plus Suites come with exclusive perks! Haute cuisine meets atmosphere at Fahrenheit 555™, a dining experience that stands toe-to-toe with some of the best steakhouses on land. Ours features your choice of steak cuts, lobster, lamb and more… and inside, there’s even a full bar that pours great pairings. These are the building blocks of an amazing experience — delectable elements that combine with great service to offer an evening to remember. Rudi’s Seagrill™ is the brainchild of cookbook author and master chef Rudi Sodamin. He has years of experience pleasing palates of vacationers… and this guy loves serving up a smile as much as Carnival does!

And kids dine free off the kids’ menu at Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse, Bonsai Sushi, and Rudi’s Seagrill. They are also 249 square feet with the same size balcony as a standard, but the balcony itself is more enclosed. There are 112 Cove Balcony cabins, and they can also sleep up to four guests. We loved this spot in the evening, when the sun was starting to set and crowds thinned. The ship has a sports court, where basketball seemed to be the only activity on our sailing, and it was packed with pickup games and shootarounds.

Pools and Hot Tubs on Carnival Jubilee

Carnival Jubilee has self-service pressing rooms on decks 4, 5, 9, 14 and 15 with ironing boards and irons that are free to use. Instead, passengers can send out their clothing for washing, pressing and dry-cleaning for a per-item fee. The second quarter involves pool deck games where passengers have to dress up in football gear to complete team races. Go one deck farther, and you can choose between the Havana Bar, which serves Latin-themed cocktails, and the Heroes Tribute Lounge, which has a special menu of drinks dedicated to military members. My favorite bar on Carnival Jubilee is the Marina Bar in The Shores zone on Deck 8.

A 4th show ("Amor Cubano - A Caribbean Dance Romance") is also available on the Horizon ship. On January 25, 2019, was announced that the new Carnival XL-class vessels will have 6 themed zones (neighborhoods). Even during construction, we knew where we were heading with the big plans for Carnival Jubilee!

Marina Bar™ is an indoor/outdoor spot where the drinks are only part of the refreshment story — there’s also some great lounging to do! And if we catch you feasting your eyes on our Beach Buns™, c’mon, who can blame you? It’s a fabulous way to enjoy delicious sandwiches made how you like, or even a just-got-grilled hot dog. The second new show is the "Lone Star Tailgate." Drawing on Texas' love for all things football, Carnival has created four indoor/outdoor "quarters" of fun to mimic the four quarters of a football game. When I sailed, the first quarter, which is all about pool deck games for kids, was held on one sea day, and the other three were held on another sea day. The adjacent fitness center is on the small side but features for-fee personal training and organized fitness classes, as well as equipment that's free for passengers to use.

With no buyers, Henna met the sad fate so many other ships met during the pandemic making her way to Alang, India in 2017 for scrapping. By the end of 2017, the ship originally launched as MS Jubilee was no more. Food on Carnival Jubilee is good, with some fun surprises that border on great, and the variety is excellent. Entertainment, and a schedule packed with daily activities, is wildly fun and hits on a range that will appeal to almost everyone.

I stayed in an Ocean Suite (a type of mini-suite), and I was thoroughly impressed by the amount of storage space, which would have been more than adequate for the four people my room could accommodate. I was also floored to discover ample electrical outlets, including at least one USB port near every bed in the room — including the bunk that pulled down from overhead. These are great examples of how Carnival has paid attention to passenger preferences. When I sailed, I had a chance to see the full production of "Dear Future Husband," a show in which a group of singers and dancers boards a cruise ship for the wedding of two of their friends. When you're finished on Deck 7, the upper level of Currents, make your way up one more deck to The Shores, a beach- and boardwalk-centric zone that celebrates life above the sea instead of under it. There, you'll find the nautically themed Marina Bar, and the ship's deli, Beach Buns.

Entertainment on Carnival Jubilee is a combination of passenger favorites from other ships and new shows that you'll only find on this vessel. On Deck 18, you'll find Waterworks, which offers waterslides and a splash area for kids. I'm not a huge drinker, so I didn't personally try cocktails from the Center Stage Bar (Deck 6) or Grand View Bar (Deck 7) in Grand Central.

Of course, the highlight of this zone is the Bolt roller coaster. It's an added-fee experience during which passengers (one to two people per ride) zoom twice around the track on a motorcycle-style vehicle that allows you to throttle up or down to a speed that suits you. Outside, the area continues with The Patio, which features a pool and hot tubs, and neighboring The Watering Hole, a bar that serves the space. This meant it wasn't at capacity, but it still felt loud and crowded, and often was fraught with lines. However, the service was generally excellent, with an exceedingly friendly crew.

Norwegian Epic Cruise Ship Norwegian Epic Deck Plans Norwegian Cruise Line

norwegian cruise line epic

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is a subsidiary company of the shipping corporation Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd (NCLH). NCL was founded in 1966, headquartered in Miami (Florida USA) and publicly traded (NASDAQ) company listed on NYSE (NYC). NCLH's major shareholders are the corporations Apollo Global Management (American), Genting Group (Malaysian) and TPG Capital (American).

Must-Know Things About the Norwegian Epic Cruise Ship

The ship's Aqua Park has 2 swimming pools, 5 whirlpools/hot tubs, a kids' pool, 3 waterslides (including the Epic Plunge bowl slide). This website is dedicated exclusively to Norwegian Cruise Line's newest cruise ship, the Epic. One of my favorite spaces on the Epic is the Mandara Spa and Thermal Suite. While it’s no longer the biggest or the most fabulous, it’s still an incredible retreat. Modeled after traditional Turkish Baths, it features hot tubs and a relatively large therapy pool with various jets for aqua therapy. The Thermal Suites also feature everything you’d expect to see in a high-end spa including a steam room, sauna, heated chaise loungers, and rain showers.

Suite (MA)

The 4,100-passenger ship is truly a floating city with restaurants featuring cuisines from all around the world, like Wasabi Sushi Bar and Moderno Churrascaria. At night you can enjoy something a little different like a live performance. Check out Fat Cat’s Jazz & Blues Club where the rhythm is contagious. No matter if you are cruising with a big group, or sailing solo in the revolutionary and award winning Studio Staterooms, you’ll have a blast onboard Epic. Epic is the first cruise ship ever to have (and so many of them) "studios".

Club Balcony Mini-Suite

Admittedly, this is a strange concept and I can’t quite figure out the reason behind it but it’s fun to try it once, just to say you did. The cost is about $20 per person which includes two branded drinks (Now it’s Skyy, it was Svedka). The entry is time limited to 45 minutes and you’re provided with a parka to wear in the sub-freezing room.

When and how can I reserve my (2 x 2 Meal Specialty Dining Package)

Dip in the hot tub to start relaxing your body even more and go straight into the steam room to alleviate pain, relax stiff joints, and improve your immune system. Norwegian Epic lives up to its name with lots of exciting things to do and top-notch entertainment. It was awarded Best Ship Entertainment by Frommer's and continues to set the bar high. Follows the list of deck plan changes after the ship's drydock 2015 refurbishment (September 27 to October 17) done at Damen Shipyard Brest (France).

In November 2020, The Haven on Norwegian Epic underwent extensive renovations. From reimagined Suites to redesigned experiences including The Haven Restaurant and The Haven Courtyard Pool & Sundeck, you can soak in true luxury at sea. Studio passengers enjoy exclusive access to the Studio Lounge (indoor relaxation and dining venue). When it comes to specialty dining, you'll find your favorite Norwegian restaurants on Norwegian Epic.

There are plenty of different watering holes aboard Norwegian Epic. However you prefer to enjoy a frosty beverage, whatever kind of adult beverage you like best, you can find the best experience for you. Whatever your favorite form of entertainment, you can probably find it happening at some point during the day aboard Norwegian Epic. In other words, if you’re worried you might be bored on a cruise, go with this ship. However, no matter when cruisers first enjoyed a Norwegian Epic cruise, whether before or after the 2015 renovations, one thing remained true — a Norwegian Epic cruise is the perfect place to party. As such a unique ship, Norwegian Epic has certainly enjoyed its share of the limelight.

Included with your cruise fare:

Not much to say about the pool bar, other than it’s convenient when you’re at the pool or in the Garden Cafe for a quick bite. I don’t find the staff here to be terribly engaging or the drinks to be anything special. Casual pub-style restaurant/bar open late serving everything from fish and chips, burgers, and chicken wings to healthier options like salads and soups. For anyone who’s cruised in the past, the vast amount of storage in the cabins on the Epic will be a welcomed surprise. Behind the seatbacks, under the bed, in the large closets as well as plenty of other cubbies for storing used laundry and small luggage items. NCL offers age-based programs for children from 5 to 17 years of age.

Ship Guide: Top Things to Do on Norwegian Epic

The changing rooms have lockers and are gender specific with gender-specific steam rooms and saunas, but the rest of the spa is mixed-gender. The Norwegian Epic cruise ship by NCL is a unique vessel known for being one of a kind. It was built in 2009 and set sail in 2010, offering a mix of positive and negative experiences for passengers. Despite being the least favorite for some, it is frequently chosen due to its availability and affordability for last-minute vacations. The ship underwent changes in 2024, including the removal of the “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” theater show. Norwegian Epic Inside Staterooms are a great and affordable accommodation for up to two guests.

The result of the dispute was that the shipyard would go ahead with constructing the first ship, but that the second and third ships simply would not be built. In March of 2022, Norwegian Cruise Lines announced that in 2023, the Epic was to be redeployed from its current summer itinerary and that all cruises aboard the ship from May through October were cancelled. Smart, sophisticated appointments include a TV, sitting area, and more.

Follows the complete list of Norwegian Epic lounges, clubs and other entertainment venues for kids, teens and adults. Follows the complete list of Norwegian Epic restaurants and food bars. You also have access to the buffet on a complimentary basis, as well as the pub, O’Sheehan’s, which offers more American-style food than pub fair. The F3-class ship was built by STX Europe at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. The last ship delivered to NCL before this order that was not at least partially built at a German shipyard was the Windward of 1993.

Complimentary restaurant options consist of three main dining rooms – Manhattan, Taste and Savor. For more elegant dining, Le Bistro focuses on French cuisine, while La Cucina serves Italian food. Cagney’s, the steak house, needs no explanation and Wasabi serves sushi and yakitori. The specialty restaurants are à la carte, except for Moderno and Teppanyaki, which charge a fixed price.

Recently just announced, the Norwegian Epic will offer 7-night Western Mediterranean cruises round-trip from Barcelona, Spain from May through October. All suites and balcony cabins have sliding doors opening to a private veranda. Norwegian Epic was the first to feature the Aqua Park, complete with multiple pools and hot tubs, a kid's only pool, and three multi-story water slides. Don't miss the 200-foot Epic Plunge, the first bowl slide at sea. Guests of The Haven have access to an exclusive dining experience.

While other cruising vessels usually have at least one other ship in its class — a ship that shares its vibe, facilities, amenities, etc. — Norwegian Epic is all on its own. As with a visit to any city, Epic's passengers need to plan ahead to make the most of their time onboard. Dinners and shows should be booked ahead of sailing or you may find yourself on the outside looking in. Lines are common, and much of the onboard experience, particularly dining, costs extra.
